Al Ain ended their unforgettable ADNOC Pro League campaign in perfect fashion with a dominant 4-0 win over Dibba at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in the final round of the season.
The champions produced another commanding display on coronation night, with Laba Kodjo scoring twice in the 15th and 21st minutes, before Erik Jorgens added the third in the 79th minute and Yahya Bin Khaliq completed the scoring deep into stoppage time.
The victory saw Al Ain finish the season top of the standings with 68 points, while Dibba remained on 20 points in 13th place.
Al Ain imposed their control from the opening whistle and quickly found the breakthrough through Laba Kodjo, who opened the scoring in the 15th minute with a clinical finish.
The striker doubled the lead just six minutes later, converting another attacking move to put the hosts firmly in control before halftime.
The champions maintained their attacking intensity throughout the second half and continued to create chances as Dibba struggled to contain Al Ain’s movement and pressure.
In the 79th minute, Erik Jorgens added the third goal to cap another flowing attacking move, before Yahya Bin Khaliq sealed the emphatic victory with a late fourth goal in stoppage time.
The result completed a historic season for Al Ain, who became the first team in ADNOC Pro League history to go unbeaten across an entire 26-match campaign. The victory also extended Al Ain’s unbeaten league streak to 33 matches — the longest unbeaten run in league history.
Al Ain also achieved the “Golden League” feat for the first time in more than 40 years and recorded 11 consecutive league victories for the first time in club history.
With 68 points, Al Ain also equalled the league points record previously set by Al Jazira.
